About the Author

My name is Stephen Braun, and I am the author and designer of GoRoundTheWorld.com.

I created this website because I perceived a need for more comprehensive travel advice for those in their 30s, 40s, and 50s. When I was researching my first RTW trip, I could only find advice geared strictly toward those right out of University or those who had recently retired and had sizable budgets to spend. I was in my mid-thirties at the time and didn’t really fit in either category.

My goal with this website is to provide advice for all prospective and current RTW travelers at a general, but hopefully not too broad, level, with a focus on providing some of the information that I found lacking during my own RTW planning. I want to help rtw travelers find the tools they need to research, plan, and successfully complete a journey of their own design, tailored to their specific interests. Advice for reestablishing one’s self in their home culture upon completion of an RTW trip also seemed to be lacking, and so I have thrown in my two cents about those issues as well.
