Important Addresses and Phone Numbers My advice for important addresses, phone numbers, and other contact information is similar to that for documents, account numbers, and passwords - be sure to have backup copies of the information available should you need them.
Most online email accounts and computer email programs have the ability to create database files containing the details of your contact information. If you select the “help” option while your electronic address book is open, those programs will usually have an option that walks you through how to save the information in a database file. Be sure to save the information at least once for each type of file system offered. For example, if the program you use offers to save the information in .csv and .vcf formats, save the information in each format. That way you will ensure maximum compatibility with any programs you may need to use when retrieving the information at a later date.
Save a printout of your most important contact information, such as that for immediate family, close friends, doctors, and important business associates in your bag. |
